Wedding Gazebos Stress Form and Function

Wedding gazebos are a timeless staple of celebration decor which add class and style to any event, but especially enhance the beauty of a wedding.

Traditionally, the gazebos are octagon, providing a Victorian or Colonial feel the design. The size you’re looking for will be dependent on how you plan to use the gazebo. Smaller structures work well for small ceremonies in which the wedding party uses the shelter as a focal point. But, larger gazebos can cover whole receptions.

The octagon gazebos add to the landscape portrait as well as service a functional purpose. Many ceremonies have been conducted at the gazebo entrance, with the presiding official at the gazebo entrance between the columns and the happy couple just below.

Garage Cleaning Tips You Can Use

My garage is a mess and yours probably is too. Now I periodically clean my garage as you may, but it gets messed up eventually due to my kids, wife, as well as me. I’ve gotten pretty good as cleaning it up and here are some tips on what works very well.

You are going to need an open space to work in. This could be floor space in the garage, perhaps table space, or even outside in the driveway. You’ll need this space to help sort things. My favorite way to create a sorting space is too get rid of larger unneeded items, perhaps via Craigslist or Freecycle.

The biggest stuff is the easiest to deal with. No doubt you have some large items you can sell or otherwise get rid of. Projects you may never get to are prime examples! Read more…

Rescuing Concrete Floors

Typically, the most heavily tracked areas will deteriorate the quickest.  So it’s not a wonder that floors can wear faster than other parts of a home or building.  Garage and basement floors often get the brunt of the attack because they are heavily used and suffer the most from fluctuating temperatures.  Another source of frustration is that these floors are often concrete.  Concrete floors, once they begin to crack and develop holes, will rapidly compromise the safety and functionality of the space.  There aren’t many remedies to a worn concrete floor, but one of them is to apply a barrier between it and its environment in the form of an epoxy coating.

Epoxy is a two part adhesive that cures (dries) by chemical interaction.  The two chemicals that react are a resin and a hardener, and once cured they produce a durable, impenetrable coating that bonds to any surface it’s applied to.  Part of what determines how strong the epoxy bond is whether or not water or a solvent base is used in the epoxy compound.  Use of 100% epoxy solids ensures the tightest bond possible – making the floor stronger and more durable. Garden Studios as an Artistic Sanctuary

Art appeals to nearly everyone in some form or another. Art is all around us, on our television screens, in the melodies we listen to and even in the street, as sculptures and statues adorn the public pavements and parks.

Art can be appreciated from afar or up close. We can derive pleasure from both creating and viewing art. Having a space in which to produce art or simply display it in the form of a pretty garden setting is a luxury that would be envied by most.
